Licensing

 

Cat & Dog Licenses

All licenses are due yearly by January 31st, after which the FEES DO INCREASE! They are issued on a yearly basis and are required of all adult dogs and cats present in the City (adult = 6 months or older). Kennel license plus dog/cat licenses are required of owners with four or more adult dogs and/or cats, and proof of current rabies vaccination is required for all cat/dog licenses. Licenses may be obtained at the City Administrative Offices at 406 N. Cheyenne. 

Fees:

$10.00 per spayed or neutered dog/cat

$25.00 per un-spayed or un-neutered dog/cat

$75.00 per kennel license

Fees increase 150% as of February 1, and 200% as of March 1. Kennel license fees increase 200% as of February 1.

Any dog/cat that turns 6 months on or after September 1 of the year will be 1/2 the cost of the fee. $5.00 for spayed or neutered dog/cat and $12.50 for un-spayed or un-neutered dog/cat.

Senior Citizens (65+) annual cost is 1/2 price for 1st dog/cat. The second and subsequent dogs/cats are regular price.

Business Licenses

All licenses due yearly by January 31st, after which the FEES DO INCREASE!  Business licenses are required of all persons or entities doing business or engaged in commerce in the City, whether residents or nonresidents, unless specifically exempted. Charitable or fraternal organizations sponsoring or conducting a business enterprise may apply to the City Council for an exemption to the license requirement.

- Fees range from $25.00-$500.00  (FEES DO INCREASE 200% AFTER JANUARY 31ST AND 300% AS OF MARCH 1ST)
