Rebecca Convery

Rebecca started working for the City of Hardin in the beginning of 2006 and is a member of the Hardin Volunteer Fire Department. Since starting her work for the City of Hardin she has set in motion several programs including, but not limited to, Horizons and a Cash for Critters program. Becky, as she is known by, is also very much involved in the City's newest venture of Animal Control. She is greatly interested in finding homes for the homeless cats and dogs in the area, and is combining efforts with the local vets to see this happen.  If you are interested in more information or assisting in any of these programs you may contact her at her office in the City Administrative Offices at 406 N. Cash for Critters is a program in which printer cartridges and old cell phones are collected and turned in to earn money that is used to fund supplies and various cat houses around the Hardin area. One such cat house can be found in front of Becker Flooring. Printer cartridges and cell phone batteries can be dropped off at the City Administrative offices. Horizons is her newest project to date. What is Horizons? Horizons is about movement and change: from waiting to leading...from talk to action...from poverty to prosperity...from a few to many...from despair to hope...from indifference to pride! This program is a community leadership program aimed at reducing poverty in our community, and provides a way to have your voice and opinions heard.
